Ebonized red oak slab with a waterfall leg and 3/4" thick acrylic. The waterfall leg features sliding dovetails to ensure a long lasting joint. The slab has been stitched with butterflies. A home brewed iron oxide solution was used to react with the tannic acid naturally found in red oak. The black finish is not a stain, but a chemical reaction that occurs within the wood itself once the solution is applied. It measures 41" W on the large end, 28”W on the narrow end, with a 57" long top and stands at 18” tall.
